ARE WE EDUCATED ILLITERATES?

If truly we say we are educated and civilized as Nigerian youths why then have we refused to have brains of ours, why do we still rely on sayings, assumptions and postulations that were made by
some philosophers and scholars as far back as 5 centuries ago? Why have we remained so ill informed that we still form our opinion and decisions based on the comments of some so called states men who have long become failed politicians? Why have we remained so illogical and irrational that we often find it very difficult to distinguish between opinion and fact? Our democracy is in danger today because majority of us are ill informed. And it is a known fact that the youth constitute the largest voting population in Nigeria. Nigeria should be more than the sequential sharing of power between the North and the South because Nigeria is not only about Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo. In repeating this mistake, we are marginalizing the over 240 other ethnic groups in the country. We need to change the phrase from “This is our turn to let the best win”
